Since 2004 Proletariat has been the hub of Boston’s counter-culture, embracing the rejected youth. Independently owned and operated, Proletariat has no one to answer to, which shows through our provocative clothing designs as well as our unique product mix. Our cut and sew collection caters exclusively to our customers offering pieces that directly benefit skaters and artists. We were the first store in New England to celebrate the extensive underground art scene, which is why Montana gave us the exclusive account for Boston. Proletariat offers skater-friendly prices and service and we will never sell a product that we don’t personally use or believe in. That’s a promise.
Proletariat Brand clothing aims to expose the ills of society with eye-catching graphics and dry wit. All of our t-shirts are 100% Made in the U.S.A. We start with shirts made in Los Angeles. Then they are designed and hand-printed in Massachusetts while our labels are woven in New York, NY. Finally, each label is sewn in by hand in our store in Cambridge, MA, where it is then sold to a happy customer. It is our mission to run a company that benefits our customers as well as the laborers who create our goods and we never take advantage of anyone throughout the process.
